Question

Audio/video do not sync in Premiere

Hi there!

I've seen a couple of similar posts but, as I am a new user of Adobe Premier, I don't really

find a solution that I can make happen.

So, my problem is that I imported a video (mp4) into a project, but video and sound are not sync.

I tried this wondershare video converter, but I don't wanna pay a lot of money for this tool.
I tried to change it to mov., but still the same problem.

Does anyone have any tips for this problem?

Thanks a lot!!

Hi ld83953971,

Sorry for the trouble. What is the exact dot version of Premiere Pro? Steps: FAQ: How to find the exact version of Premiere Pro you're using?

As suggested by John T Smith, it can be an issue with the Frame Rate. Premiere Pro supports VFR in the latest version.

Thanks,

Vidya

MP4 is a wrapper, what is inside YOUR wrapper - Exactly what is INSIDE the video you are editing?

Report back with the codec details of your file, use the programs below... A screen shot works well to SHOW people what you are doing - For Windows Internet Explorer press the PRINT SCREEN button on your keyboard, and then do CTRL-V to paste the screen print from the clipboard into a forum message

Free programs to get file information for PC/Mac http://mediaarea.net/en/MediaInfo/Download

- when you analyze your file in MediaInfo and post a screen shot in the forum, do so in TREE view

.

Does your video use a Variable Frame Rate? See https://forums.adobe.com/thread/1110005

If yes, use https://handbrake.fr/ open source transcoder/converter to convert to Constant Frame Rate

For those using nvidia shadowplay, read https://forums.adobe.com/thread/2188814

NEW PPro version 12.0 and above support VFR https://forums.adobe.com/thread/2441553
