Audio Waveforms Bug - Unlink Fix Greyed Out

I'm on a Mac editing a multi-cam sequence, and for some reason my A1 track which is the only audio track that I need for this edit doesn't show audio waveforms while my other audio tracks work fine. I found a blog post with a fix:

4K Shooters | Missing Audio Waveforms in Premiere Pro? Here’s the Fix

The problem is though, when I select and then Control click the audio clip, the Unlink option is greyed out. Is this some type of limitation due to the fact that the sequence is multi-cam? Please advise. Thank you.

It's been a few months since I've seen this problem on a very complex documentary project.  Try control clicking on the clip and choosing render and replace and see if that shakes things up.  You can always unrender this action...  But maybe not a bad idea to do a save as for the project before you dig yourself too deep a hole.  May not have been the solution, but if not, post back and I'll see if I can remember something else...  Heading over to the client on this project now cause he's having issues accessing the multicam features...  There's something dicey in the project and he's been unwilling to pay me to spend the time to really dig into it and see if I can figure out what the underlying issues are.  Some how or other, when he hits a roadblock, I can get things working at least temporarily...
