Audio waveforms disappear when zooming into the timeline when using Premiere on Mac?

Hey,

I just stepped over from Windows to Mac, and one strange issue I'm having is that when I zoom into my timeline, the waveforms just disappear, I did a quick search on the forum and found out many people are having this problem on Mac but no solution, so I'm shooting my shot here if anyone has an idea of what this is and or how to fix it, pls let me know! One strange thing that works for a few minutes: opening up another application and then going back to Premiere suddenly shows the waveforms again for a little bit... I also tried deleting all the cache, moving the cache location, importing an old project into a new one, etc.
