Auto Delete Pauses from Transcribed Audio: Refining Pause Audio Level

I'm trying to use the feature of deleting pauses from transcribed audio. Unfortunately the audio is still picking up the interview questions (-24db) as well as the Guest's answer (-8db). I want to remove the pauses as well as the interviewer, is there a way to refine the criteria for what determines a pause? any work arounds?
