Hi, I'm reviving this thread as this is still an issue. I have a large project, shot in SLOG3, and I've generated Proxies and am working on editing it. The media is stored on an external drive and I'm working between two different machines, both of which have the currrent version of Premiere (24.6.1). One machine automatically detects the colorspace of the footage as SLOG3 an displayes the footage as if a LUT is applied, as it should. The other machine detects the footage as REC709 and applies no LUT. Applying a LUT in Lumetri for SLOG3 results in a functional footage, but moving it to the other machine results in double-applied LUTS. Why is one machine not applying an input LUT and another one is???

Are you able to override the color space detection and simply force SLog3? If that's possible in the latest build it should behave consistently between both machines.

Yes...I can do this. However, there are hundreds of media files. Right clicking on each one, then clicking interperate footage, then clicking color, then clicking a drop down, then clicking SLOG3 all the way at the bottom, is not feasable for all of them, especially when why is it doing it in the first place.

As Shebbe comments, not all log media is recognized yet by Premiere.

And further,  auto detect log and auto tonemapping both need to be on to get a correct mapping of the image to the sequence color space. For the log forms Premiere handles.

Yeah but SLog was always supported

There are multiple versions of "S-log" ... and you haven't told us which specific form you were using. I've worked with some from the A7 cameras that were from full actual log to simply a log-ish Rec.709 clip.

And further, if you could provide a clip, I'd be happy to test it myself. I've done a lot of that for folks.

Can you tell us which camera it was shot on, what log profile/encoding was used, what the file codec and container is?

Auto Detect isn't a 'magic fix it tool'. It takes known information from the file's metadata if present and can transform the footage from there. Therefore not all media is compatible.

It was shot on a Sony A7III with SLog normal LOG footage that I always use
