Auto import layered PSD with each layer 2 to 3 seconds father down the timeline?

I have a layered PhotoShop document. Especially can I

place onto timeline with each layer loading up 2 or 3 seconds

farther down the t imeline than the previous? So that I have an

animation starting point. Or I can import each layer to the project

and then distribute them into the timeline, especially 2 or 3

seconds spaced to make my animation?

With all your help, and just a few clicks, I was able to use PhotoShop to see the amount of time and the frame order that was ideal for each frame in my animation sequence. Then it was easy enough to export all the frames to a folder; then have bridge batch rename them in sequence. Then it was easy enough to import this folder into Premiere Pro with the default image import duration. Then just dragging them into the timeline, they were in the proper order with the proper timing and Voila! Done !! Thank you !

To answer your original question the answer is no.

Ae will do this for you with ease.

You should be able to import a layered photoshop file as individual layers and if the numbers are named with sequential numbers and you set the timeline preference for still image default duration to your desired length and when you import the psd, you choose import as individual layers, you should be good to go. the layers will import as individual clips into a folder...

Doesn't sound like the layers can be distributed en masse?

All one by one by hand?

Yes, when you import a layered .psd file you get a dialog in Premiere Pro when you import the file; "Import Layered File". Under Import As, choose Sequence.

This will however not import the layers to the timeline you are working with. To use the layers you must open the timeline that were created when you imported the layered file in the Project panel and copy/paste the layers to the timeline you are working with. This will give you the freedom to animate each individual layer in the timeline you are working with.

If you want to decide the duration of the layers you must do that before importing it by go to Edit > Preferences > Timeline and set the Still Image Default Duration. It´s not a must but is convinient if you want the same length on all layers you import.
