Auto Save nightmare! I have my auto save set to every 15 mins, but Premiere keeps saving the project, and autosaving, like every 2 minutes! How can I make it stop?

I am seeing the same thing: loads of autosaves in a short period of time. I reported this when it was still in beta.

Moreover, while auto-saving in the background, it freezes the program. 

Also often get the autosave panel instead of saving in the background.

Sorry for the frustration. If Auto Save is set to every 15 minutes but is consistently running every couple of minutes, that doesn't sound like expected behavior.

We've seen some other reports of this behavior as well. Could you let us know your exact Premiere version and operating system?

Also, if possible, check the timestamps of the files in your Auto-Save folder. That will help confirm whether Premiere is actually creating Auto Save files every couple of minutes or whether you're seeing another save operation.
