Background editing mode

A cool idea to improve Adobe Premiere Pro would be to introduce a “Background Editing Mode” that lets you keep working on a new project while your current one is still rendering. This could work by giving users the option to adjust how much of your computer’s power goes to the render process, so you can still make edits, trim clips, or even add effects without the software freezing up. You could also have a real-time preview during rendering, but in a lower-quality version, so you can keep editing smoothly. Another helpful addition could be a project queue that lets you line up multiple renders, allowing you to start a new project while the previous one is still processing. This would save a ton of time and keep the workflow flowing without unnecessary waiting.

Are you using the built-in send to MediaEncoder process? Which does exactly ... this?

Keep in mind the Preference under Playback, it will by default cause ME to pause while you are playing back in PP.

OK, so we are talking export, (IE: not 'rendering') When you send to Media Encoder from PP' Export tab, the items in there a Queued. So, that's one thing. And while it's exporting you can work in PP.

What Neil said.

Your use of "renders" there, is it generic and actually you are refering to "Export" (in Premiere speak)? Because that's what it sounds like and exactly what Media Encoder does.

Yes I used it but you still can not work on another project while rendering
