Background Processes not traceable

So I'm working with version 23.5

For some reason a project that has been set up and working for a while has started doing weird things. The files are located on an external hard drive and whenever I shut the the PC the project automatically starts packground processses. In the upper right corner where the transcription feature is showing the progress there is also a new process called "auto color" and I just want to edit. I want to turn off all background stuff. But there is nothing I can do. When I click on the circle it says 4,4% but all process are represented as finished.

Any ideas?
