Be useful if the 'drag workspaces into the order you would like them to appear' affected the Workspaces menu dropdown and thus the keyboard shortcut order.

Rather than just the 'workspaces' icon on the fairly useless (to me) top line:
Home | Import | Edit | Export .... Workspaces | QuickExport | Progress Dashboard | Search | Full Screen Video

Seems that the way to gain some control over this order is to save workspaces as 1. xxx, 2. xxx etc

@trevora3,

I like that idea. In the meantime, see this thread from back when the new workspaces were introduced. I think you need to select the "Show workspace tabs." And the shortcuts have some limits, but you can work around part of that.

TBH I don't really need to switch workspaces much because so much is *not* stored as part of a workspace but requires a different shortcut, from a different pane or can't be shortcut (e.g. Project View, track height, overlays, show transport controls, sequence customisation etc etc etc). .

Yea, to change the order you must do it from the Workspaces icon to the right on the menu header area. Click that, the whole list drops down, and there's an 'edit' option. You can drag to rearrange, you can even "hide" things so they don't show on the normal list, and if you save the project after doing so, it should work. I've used that for years.

And yea, numbering them means that you can also use keyboard shorts to jump between them, without using the mouse. Note in the Menu drop down, the first nine shown have a keyboard short?

Everyone's mileage always varies ...
