I am editing a Feature length documentary with many drives, what is the best practice for backing up the project? I traditionally use Project Manager but want to know if there is something better.

Thanks!

My opinion on 'best practice' is to edit strictly from internal drives, and backup to networked or external drives.  Copy the full card over to the backup location first, and then to the primary work drive.

any opinion on using project manager vs copy and paste the whole project folder structure?   i use posthaste to make my folder structure so everything stays consistent but ive always wondered if there were pros and cons to just copying the entire structure to a backup drive

I'm generally a promoter of using the right tool for the job.  The right tool for file management is a File Manager, not an NLE, so I generally recommend against using the Project Manager in favor of Windows Explorer or Finder.
