Best way to export the audio tracks in Premiere for another editor using Premiere

Question

A friend has a large premiere project that is 1:45hours long with 12 audio tracks. He wants to send me the project to edit all the audio on my Premiere. What is the best way to do this, considering bandwidth is an issue?

This is what I thought but come against some challanges:

Project Manager (I dont want all the videos as this is huge - I want him to render the video tracks as a single video clip and send it to me, but I still want all the audio clips to be seperate on seperate audio tracks as in the main project - the video is just a guide)
OMF - Premiere does not support the import of OMF files?

Summary: I am editing the audio of another Editors project in Premiere, and he needs to send the project for me to edit the audio. Unfortunately he can't send me all the assets as it is over 7TB!

You could consider doing a Pro Tools like export. If the offline video editing portion is locked, use AAF (FILE > EXPORT > AAF). AAF is the new OMF. It has a very similar workflow. Here is what to do:

Export an AAF Audio only. This will preserve audio in the sequence exactly like an OMF.
Choose whether to Embed the Audio which will stuff the clips in the AAF or have SEPARATE AUDIO (usually what I do). Separate Audio will put your audio clips in a folder and also create a separate AAF file for import into Premiere or Pro Tools.
Choose whether you want to use AIFF or WAV (I use WAV).
Under Render choose to include the entire used audio tracks or Trimmed. I generally choose Trimmed to keep file sizes very low and then usually use 60 to 120 frame handles (these are the ones most requested by the Pro Tools Engineers I work with
After Exporting your AAF, output a low quality (480P,720P,1080P) reference video with sound.

This should greatly reduce the file size and then you can send FTP, Dropbox, WeTransfer, etc. You could also try Final Cut XML as an alternative. We are use to working with AAF. It really is great! Anyways, good luck with your workflow!

Have you tried sending the sequence to Audition?

That will open up all audio (and video) in Audition. With this mix session, you can save out all the individual audio clips and/or the .sesx mix file, so that your audio editor can adjust the mix in Audition remotely.
