Best Workflow for Subtitles?

Hello forum,

I'm hoping to learn from others what workflows they use to create foreign language subtitles? I realize my workflow no longer works with the latest Premiere CC update ().

If any indie doc filmmakers could share how they tackle this, I would greatly appreciate it!

Prior to today, I was creating SRT files in a third party software known as Inqscribe. However, it's proven difficult as there appears to be no way to format the style of the subtitles (open captions), like font, size, color, etc. all at once. I'm having to go in manually to each caption and format it, which is incredibly time consuming. With hours of footage, I'm hoping to find a better workflow.

I've been reading on other forums about Encore, but not sure how that works with Premiere CC. Any insights?
