Big issues with multicam and proxy in Premiere 2024

I am having a big issue with Premiere 2024 which is destroyed my entire timeline.

My project is a multi-cam project with a material on the network connected to a local proxy in ProRess .mov and synced with an external recorded sound (also on the network without converting).

Because our network is not that fast and some of the materials in recorded in 4:4:4 I have desided to convert the material to ProRess (medium proxy quality) and move it localy as the playback will be much faster.

After editing the whole 35 min timeline with so much cuts the sound started to shift and be out of sync! spacialy when I ripple the edits or move some clips from the middle of the timeline! I re edited some parts and did the sound in sync again.

But every time I edit parts of the timeline the sound goes out of sync! and this is a bigg issue and diffecult to fix when you do so much cuts.

I with 15 years experience and worked with Premere for long time but never had such a big issue.

Sorry for the delayed answer. There are many things that could go wrong, and unfortunately, we don't know much about your workflow.

  • How did you make your proxies?
  • Have you used Interpret Footage on the clips?
  • Is Audio set to 48 kHz in Audio Hardware Preferences, and are all clips 48 kHz?
  • Would it be possible for you to share the project file? And maybe even one clip and its proxy file?
