Hi, I am trying to render a file of resolution 562px x 875 px from Adobe Premiere Pro however a black line continues to appear in the mp4 format. The line isnt visible in the project file. Any solutions to this.

Hi Purvashree22614297imtj,

Welcome to the community! Could you please confirm your Sequence & Input media resolution? Also, which version of Premiere Pro are you using?

Thanks,

Sumeet

.mp4 wont export odd numbers so you will need to round up or down.

You're probably seeing the black line at the bottom of the video, right?

If so, it’s not really a Premiere bug, it’s more about how some video formats (like H.264) handle video sizes. They usually work best with even numbers for width and height. In your case, the height is 875, which is an odd number, and that can cause the encoder to add a black line to make it fit. Something to do with the compression algorithm and how it does the calculations.

Try a different format, ProRes maybe, or change the height of the sequence to 876 and give it a test.
