Black outline around video mask

Question

In the video attached you'll notice a flickering black line around a mask. The video file in premiere was 'replaced with AE comp' where the designer then tracked a garbage can and used a reference frame and used content aware to fill in the snow. Once complete, the mask in Premiere Pro and on proof export show that black outline. Attempted to expand the mask, then tried expanding the fill. Feathered, scaled, etc. None of which removed this outline with precision it just seems to move slightly when these parameters are played with - but never goes away. I am at a loss on this one.

Any ideas? Thanks!

Are you able to export that comp from AE as a video file and just use that? Instead of the linked comp? I think that'd be the most straightforward solve.

Its a bit brute force, but assuming that the black that is showing is transparent, you could duplicate that clip, move it a few pixels down, and stack it below your existing clip on your timeline. That way it'd fill in the black "outline."

I should clarify that the mask issue is happening in the upper right side of the shot in the video attached.
