Ok, So project crashed, and when I reopened it the preview and program were both black screen and could not play. content.  controls would not work. restarted computer , still wouldn't work, this time it would not load.  Created a new user on my Mac and was able to open the project file with no issue. saved it, went to my user account and reopened it and crashed. back to NEW user account and project worked fine.

Soo I went back to my user account and was able to import the project in a new project. Please fix this bug.

You've got a bit of corruption between the User Preferences file and the cache/media cache database files for PrPro. Nothing the Adobe folks can do will cure this little bit (though there's plenty they can fix, of course ).

First, in your old user, launch PrPro while holding down the Shift/Option keys, which will trash the Preferences folder, and see if it works correctly.

If that doesn't fix your issue, then find where the media cache and cache database are in the preferences dialogs, close PrPro, navigate to the folders and delete everything.

Reboot, relaunch, and see if that gets you going.

great, I finished that project but had to do the Shift/Option reset for low level issues on another project. which fix that issue.  will let you know. I still need to reopen projects when I import video. will not let me play what I import unless I reopen project.  Another issue I can across is when I gain my audio it calculate for awhile then when it is done I need to fit ok again. Never had to wait for the gain.

That's another painful thing ... full sympathy!

You might look at using the Adobe CC Cleaner tool to both uninstall and cleanup the remains of PrPro, reboot, then reinstall.
