Black Video- Premiere Pro V 23.2.0 (Build 64)

When I invoke File> New> Black Video, the command does not prsent a dialog box displaying frame size- giving the abiity to confirm frame size related to active timeline, or correct it to fit.

My expectation is that it would come in at the 4K timeline size I'm working in. Instead...

a) there is no dialog,

b) it deposits the file in a bin instead of at top level of Project window, as in earlier versions.

This is repeatable.

Aha! My Project panel wasn't set wide enough to disclose that full bottom row.

Again, I'm not a big icon fan.

But thank you.

I don't know where that icon would be located. I checked the Project window, saw no "New" icon along the bottom; I've pretty much stripped my interface of icons; I rely on the keyboard for many functions.

And Premiere must have known you'd reply, Ann- NOW the dialog comes up and at the expected screen size.

I'm enountering a lot of little funky behaviors like this. Cranky. I thought waiting almost a year before picking up a Mac Studio would be adequate time to polish Apple silicon support.

Loren

Does the New Item icon give you a dialog box?
