Blackmagic RAW Help

This is the error code I am currently getting when trying to open a project I have been working on for months with the Davinci braw plugin version 1.5.2.

" Video Filter missing: AE.ADBE

BlackmagicRawPremiereSourceEffect "

This started when I tried updating to braw 1.6 and since then I haven't been able to do anything with braw footage inside any premiere project. Deadline is coming up on this project and could use some help if anybody has had this problem too.

Thanks

I've tested some bmpcc 4k braw ( middle compression, 3:1 ? ) ... brain like sieve.

source color bmpcc 4k film v3 maybe

timeline: linear

output: default 70924.

linear seems to line up the video hero better with primary eizo with rec 709 2.4 calibration...odd as that sounds.

Goose,

You wouldn't have the settings that you'd set in th BM plugin. And you'd need to move the BM files out of the plugin folder or they will not allow another plugin to tough "their" media.

=========this post particularly interesting IMO =============

Just got it to work!

After reinstalling PP, it didn't work. Turns out it didn't install in the Plug-ins folder at all (that's why I couldn't find it earlier as well)

However when I ran the install again with admin privileges (held down shift when double-clicking) the install finally gave me an error - "creative cloud is using files that need to be modified - Ignore/retry"

I don't know what it was doing, but after 30mins I ran the 1.5.1 install with admin privileges again. Files are now all in the Plug-ins folder and working

Try the Autokroma BRAW plugin. Best help I can offer. Unfortunately.

I've been looking into that. Do you happen to know if it will mess my projects up since they were started with the davinci plugin? Thanks for the reply.

Hello,

I'm from the Autokroma BRAW Studio Team.

If you began a project with the Blackmagic plugin and want to try our Autokroma BRAW Studio Plugin, you just need to export your sequence as XML, then close Premiere Pro, uninstall the Blackmagic plugin, install BRAW Studio and load the XML.

Note that the only way to keep the color change you made in the Source Settings of the Blackmagic plugin is to export the sidecar of every source clip of the project (so this parameters will be loaded into "Camera Metadata" afterward).

Btw, your error seems to be just an error of installation. The "BlackmagicRawPremiereSourceEffect.prm" file seems to not be present in your Adobe Mediacore folder. You should try to re-install the last version (1.6.0) of the Blackmagic plugin.

Best,

Nicolas from Autokroma
