Blur not working and needs to be simplified

Why is blurring a face so complicated?

I followed these instructions and it didn't work. 

There should simply be a button called "faceblur", or I should be able to click a face and the option to blur faces appears.

We don't need so many settings to accomplish this one very simple task.

The blur isn't tracking the face even after clicking "track selected mask forwrd". It just stays in one spot or blurs the wrong areas.
