Breakout Box or I/O Device for Capture from Videotape
Looking for a recommendation for a breakout box or other I/O device that will allow me to capture some older stock footage shots from our videotape library. Our Avid had its own interface system which made that capture easy. But we're now 100% on PPCC, so I need to get a working system to capture footage from a Panasonic DVCPro deck (Y/BR or composite output), a BetaSP deck (Y/RB or composite output), and a D-2 deck (parallel video serial V/A or analog composite). I don't mind going composite for everything since the quality of most of the old footage is not that great anyway. And to keep it simple, I don't even need remote control of the deck shuttle system. As long as I can cue it up and roll it manually, that would work for the few shots I need once in a while. Any thoughts? TIA.
