Bring Story back!

I loved working in Story.  It's the best screenwriting software in my book. I've now had to go back to Final Draft, and it doesn't hold a candle.  I've also tried Celtx.  Ugh.  What do we have to do to get Story back?

Yeah bring it back, it was a great piece of software, and shouldn't probably that hard to maintain.

Perfect fit to the whole architecture of creative's cloud.
Since they close it I really jump from one software to another...

I agree. Bring back Adobe Story as a free program for everyone.

User Voice is where the Adobe engineers look for bug reports, enhancement requests, etc. The urgency for bug reports or new features can be judged by how many of us users upvote the requests. You can search for similar requests using the search feature at the lower right. It's best to upvote a request that has some traction (votes) already, and you can upvote and reply to that thread. If you don't find one the matches your request, then enter a new one. Regardless, post a link back here so those seeing this thread can upvote also.

hehe, that is so frustrating... I know what you mean re: formatting scripts and plays and books etc.

I use Quark Xpress ( have had it for 20 years ? ) and it can deal with cmyk offset press stuff ( including making color separations and binding and so on with registration marks )

But it takes a long time to set up the projects and make the initial 'format'.  Probably using a typewriter is faster and less distraction overall .... Hopefully you can still find ink ribbon for yours !

my previous post misleading. Quark is old. When adobe had it's own fonts ( specific sizes and not vector) and the world read printed materials from offset presses via color separations or kodalith type black and white and all that stuff, there were also posters at the theatre ( nice ones ) and print AD's in fancy glossy magazines, and ART books ( like that museums sell with lithographs )... all that was Quark.

    🙂

There are text boxes and graphic boxes you make, so the entire thing isn't some image file ( rgb ) but this is really hard to explain.

I used to use Story all the time, and now that its gone, i've gotten three other programs, Final Draft, Celtx, and MS Word, and i hate them that i've literally just started writing on a type writer again. I think Adobe made a huge mistake getting rid of Story. they could've just disconnected it from the cloud and let us at least use the base software/offline version and save to my freakin harddrive.

you nearly killed my writing spirit Adobe.

Agreed. Are there ANY comprable softwares that had the integration?
I work in news and it was awesome for promos and commercials alike.
