Bug with Q and W shortcuts

Issue: When i have a clip on V1 and another clip on top on V2 track, and i only want to make changes to the V1 track i enable this track and disable the rest of the tracks so that they don't get affected but when i press W or Q it cuts all the tracks (even the ones the weren't enabled) including the Audio tracks and it does so in a VERY wierd way.Even if i disable all the tracks it still cuts them (as shown in the video).
Adobe Premiere Pro Version Number: 25.1
Operating System: Windows 10
System Info: Processor: Ryzen 5 3600, GPU: GTX 1650 SUPER,16GB RAM,Hard Drive 1TB HDD, 500GB SSD.
Workflof Details: Just any clip one on V1 track and another on V2 track on top of each other.
Steps to Reproduce:
1- Take 2 clips that you want to edit
2-Place one of them at the beginning of the timeline on the V1 track and another on the V2 track also at the beginning of the timeline.
3-(Say you only want to edit the V1 track) disable the V2 track and leave the V1 track enabled, then select the clip you want to cut and press either Q or W.
Expected Result: It should only trim cut the selected video only on that V1 track that was enabled
Actual Result: It trim cuts all the clips that weren't selected on the V1 track and also cuts all the clips on the disabled V2 track and Audio Tracks.

You could, of course, lock all tracks except V1 and then make the cut using Q or W.

It has commands that will allow to lock track with selected clips or just specific track.

Also it has solo lock command, that will lock/unlock tracks with selected clips.

The key here with the Ripple trimming to playhead keys is to use Toggle sync locks, not the track targets, as they dictate what will move in those kinds of trims. And also remember the Ripple Trim will only trim to the next edit, so if you have quite a few edits stacked up, it might not do exactly what you want as it's only trimming to its nearest edit, depending on what sync locks are toggled on.

So on the cips that i do not want to affect i have to disable the sync lock.

Hi @kiril_7475 -

There are a couple options for you.

To achieve your goal, use Shift+T to enter Trim mode, then select the specific tracks you want to trim.

As Ann has said you can enable your tracks and then hit the command Shift+Q or Shift+W to extend next or previous edit.

Thanks a lot for the help!
I wanted to do what shift + q and shift + w does with just pressing w and q, thats why i thought they were acting wierd, thanks a ton!
