Burning Dvds

Hello all,

I have been trying to turn an h264 file into a dvd copy, and the application 'burn' isn't working.  Does anyone know how to create a dvd out of a premiere video?  It's a short film-only eight minutes long.

Are you trying to make an actual DVD-Video disc that will play in a set top player, or a data disc that will be loaded ointo a computer to play the file?

The latter is simple. Get a copy of IMGBurn (PC only, but free) and it will do anything you need it to.

The first case is more difficult as DVD-Video needs to be correctly authored, and H264 is not DVD-Video compliant.

If you could please let us knbow exactly what your intended end result will be, and your system details (OS etc) we can get you running.

Cyberlink Power 2Go 13 can burn a DVD or Blu-ray discs.  It only works on  a PC.  The H.264 video from Premiere can be burned to a DVD.  The quality is as good as Blu-ray.  However, it can only be played on a Blu-ray Player.

You cannot make a dvd with Premiere Pro, there is no burn option. (or is this Premiere Elements?).

Only option is 3rd party authoring tool.

TMPGEnc Authoring Works 6 - The Ultimate DVD / Blu-ray / AVCHD Authoring Tool - Pegasys Inc.
