Cache Not Clearing I think with PP 11.1.1(15)

I'm going a little crazy because I encode stuff that doe not take my changes.

Specifically, I am encoding a video where I've changed one png file from the timeline.  I can consistently encode it with Media Encoder (11.1.0 (170)) and get the wrong results.  Do a manual "Export" and it is correct. I've gone into media cache on both encoder and PP and chose clear cache, no error, but the file change still is wrong in encoder.

This has me very nervous since I can't count on changes ending in encoded files. Is this a known problem? I remember seeing some notes in the last update.

    that option is disabled already.

I've hunted down the media cache directory and manually deleted everything there and my problem is gone for the moment.

I've just had this happen to me in Premiere 2017.1.1 (11.1.1 (15) Build) and got a bad scare, plus a missed deadline.

I had a Photoshop .psd file imported in my project. I updated some text there and saved it, then checked the Premiere timeline (which was right) then sent it to render in AME, only to discover that it was the old .psd file's contents. After discovering it, I re-saved the .psd and the Premiere project and re-sent it to AME, but it was the same problem again.

I eventually went to the Premiere preferences, Media Cache and clicked "Clean unused". When I had done this, I got the correct contents of the .psd file. Note, though, that I can't directly and conclusively attribute the fix to "Clean Unused". I'd tried a lot of things to try to force AME to understand there was a new image.

The ability to start something rendering and then keep on working is a key reason for staying with Premiere. If AME proves to be unreliable, that's devastating. Can we get a bug report filed for this?

    Hi Peterkellner,

I am sorry that you are not able to export properly from AME.

Please check if disabling this option makes any difference.

    Thanks,
