Call Out Graphics

So I'm trying to figure out how to have a call out appear statically on a training video. I want it to pop up and not move with the shot. I tinkered with key frames but am Still having trouble just geting a call out to appear where I place then disappear in that same spot in the sequence. I hope I explained that properly. Thank You!

How are you placing the callout? Are you using an Essential Graphic?

Yes, it’s from essential graphics. A stock call out. I’m placing it above the video sequence on a separate track but the call out isn’t staying static. It’s moving with the shot. It is a motion graphic. I don’t have after effects but surely there’s a way to have a callout appear and remain static while the shot moves. Thank you!

By "stock" do you mean it was a purchase or download? Can you point us to it so we can see it? It sounds like the motion is built into it.
