Can I create a Read Only premiere project file?

Hello,

I wonder if creating a "Read Only" file for my premiere project is possible. The project is set up with nested sequences and essential graphics that others will eventually use. The goal would be to include a master Read Only file of the original project that others can copy and then edit their own copy for themselves while protecting the master project. That way a peer doesn't accidentally save over the original file and is instead forced to save it as a new file whenever they try to access the Read Only master. Any knowledge would be greatly appreciated and I am using MacOS!

Did you try it? It works in Windows. AE give a nice warning when you start, and PP let's you know when you try to save.

Yes, That worked! Sorry, I didn't know if there was a way to save it as such directly through Premiere or AE, I see that just right-clicking and going to Get Info on the project file itself to lock it is much easier. Thanks!
