Newbie here. Can I easily slow down speed of clip I'm viewing just to trim... not to make a "slow motion" clip as part of the video. THANK YOU!

Correct answer Christian.Z

when trimming, it should show you a preview of the video while "rolling" in or out

Holding shift+L will play forward slowly. Holding shift+J will play backwards slowly. While holding shift down if you keep taping L key it will play a little faster, and again it will go a little faster. And if you want to slow it down while still holding shfit tap the J key and it will slowdown.

Thank you for your help. I'm wondering if there is a way to do the play a little without holding the keys? I'm just learning. I'm viewing and starting to edit family videos that are kind of long "clips" and going through them to shorten and delete portions to make them playable for a celebration. Thank you, again.

Using the J, K, and L shortcut keys may also be useful:
