Can I migrate a project from Cyberlink Power Director to Premiere???

Is anyone familiar with Cyberlink Power Director?

It's more of a prosumer video editing platform for those wanting to hit it and quit it basically. Basically just for simple, fast editing.

Long story short - my client is new to working with me, so he insisted on editing a rough, rough cut before having me begin on our first big project.

Even though I BEGGED him to download a free trial of Premiere, he insisted on using Power Director.

Now we're trying to migrate his Power Director project over to Premiere, so I can take over the project. I've been scouring the web for a way to export either an XML or EDL out of Power Director....and nothing. Nothing at all. Does anyone know away to migrate from Power Director to premiere? It is essential that we figure out away to do so....Power Director is exclusively for PC only, and I do not have a PC. So if we can't make this work...then we've just wasted a lot of time with our looming deadline

Can anyone give me a hand?

Thanks!

I think using PowerDirector still gives a better experience.

What I would do is produce a high quality video file in PD and then open it up in Adobe Premier. 🤷🏿‍♂

Default User,

Sorry about that. What I mean is that you look at his or her show and then try to mimic the sequence in Premiere Pro by hand. If this NLE has no export capabilities, what more can be done? Not much. Sorry about that!
