Can I transcribe a bi-lingual Spanish/English conversation?

Is there any way to have premiere give me a transcription of a bilingual conversation?

In a perfect world I would be able to:

Have Premiere simply transcribe Spanish and English as it is spoken. So for example if part of a sentence is Spoken in Spanish, it transcribes in Spanish, and if another part is spoken in English, it transcribes that part in english.

And what about translations? Does Premiere have any translation capabilities at all? Like if Spanish is spoken, could it create a transcription or captions of a translation to English, for example?

Yes, re captions. This is an interesting question. It is not designed to do what you want, so brainstorm a bit!

So, for example, I would try transcribing as English, and create captions (in English). And export the TRANSCRIPTION and label as English in case you want to go back. Then transcribe Spanish and create captions in Spanish. So you have two caption tracks that will (probably) make sense in English and two in Spanish.

You can right-click the English track and translate to Spanish, and vice versa. You now have 4 caption tracks and can delete as needed to get 2 tracks that combined are correct for English (actual and translated) and 2 for Spanish. You can format each of the tracks differently to show the English on left and Spanish on right, etc.
