Can multiple video tracks be merged into one video track?

When doing audio based syncing of tracks, premiere seemingly has no way to tag cameras like you can with timecode metadata to create 1 video track per camera.  Instead, it creates 1 video track per CLIP.   At this point I am syncing one camera at a time against a primary full length audio track.  Is there a way to quickly merge all the clips down to 1 video track?  Almost like a "merge visible" in photoshop.   It seems the "merge" functionality is dithered so it must not be meant for this?

Have you tried using the Sequence > Simplify Sequence feature inside the Multicam?

If you are working with a Multicam with some cameras that start, stop, start, stop throughout the sequence ... yea, that's a pain. Maybe @Jarle Leirpoll would have ideas ...

Everyone's mileage always varies ...
