Can One Add Win 10 fonts to Premiere Pro CS4?

Hello,

A few years ago when I first got CS4 (in 2009), I was running Vista and was able if memory serves to get Premiere to see the fonts within Vista and that was long time ago and since then, Adobe has been reinstalled several times, most recently to a new PC running Windows 10 and am now getting back to video editing via premiere and the fonts included with it are lackluster.

Either Google search is going down hill or my Google Kung Fu is not at peak of late but I'm not finding specifically what I'm after, allowing Windows fonts (for now) to be seen by Premiere as I keep seeing links to install NEW fonts from font sites and a few references to adding fonts to newer versions of Premiere and with all Windows OS besides 10 so is this doable, and if so, how?

Thanks!

Hello, sorry for the delay  but did solve my answer on my own.

I got it solved by discovering that on the titleler pane, there is a little box at the upper right corner of the entire titleler screen that opens up the options box on the right side, which also includes font that is not so obvious and in there are all the fonts, such as Calibri, Arial etc. But on further inspection, you can go to the title tab at the top of the screen and click on Title --> New Title-->and choose default still, default crawl and default roll or use from template to open up a new title, name it appropriately and then you have access to the other options, such as font, size, alignment, orientation etc, which are grayed out, unavailable until you choose one of the default options or use from a template and name it first.

It's been a number of years since I last used Premier Pro so had forgotten some aspects of the program but it's all coming back as I edit video again.

    Thanks!

Generally speaking (I have Win10 but not CS4) any Truetype font that is properly installed in Win10 **should** be available to all programs

If you are not seeing Win10 fonts, I don't know why

I have not changed any of the fonts that came with 10 and I think Libra Office is using them as I am using Calibri as the default font and it's been a part of Windows since forever.

So the question is, getting Premiere to see these is the next step and I forget how with CS4.

If they are installed on your system, if an Adobe application can use the font, it will be available in the application.  There should be no other steps necessary.
