Hey,

I use a double Layer DVD and a HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GH24NSD1 (Firmware LG00) Player. I finished my project (in the end 7,97 GB) and wanted to burn it on my DVD. Now, it always says: in the pgc main occured a mistake at 00;00;00;00. internal Software mistake: %0, row Main -PGC-Info: Name = Main, Ref = Apgc, Time = 00:00:00:00 / in original language: im pgc main ist ein Fehler bei 00;00;00;00 aufgetreten. interner Softwarefehler: %0, Zeile Main -PGC-Info: Name = Main, Ref = Apgc, Zeit = 00:00:00:00. Main is the main film, with about 2:30 hours. I have a menue and a chapter menue with three pages. What does the mistake code mean and what do I have to change?

I'd appreciate a quick respond

Jakob

A couple of questions to run past you please....

1 - When you compiled, what did you compile to?

A - ISO image

B - DVD Folder

C - write to disc

The best option - especially with a DL title - is to compile to a folder and then (as Stan suggests above) use IMGBurn to get the layer break set correctly.

2 - Have you got any odd naming conventions anywhere at all? It is advisable to only use alphanumeric naming with no spaces in the file names. Bear in mind that DVD uses UDF formatting, and this is very unhappy if you feed it stuff with spaces, funny characters or basically anything non Alphanumeric.

It's unlikely to be the layer break (Sorry, Stan) as this is only ever added after compilation and the error is occurring right at the start of the file, so implies a more fundamental issue here.

If you could please show some more details about the project it might help, or try what Stan suggested.

IMGBurn gets this sort of thing right and will even let you preview your layer break.........

Is this an error in Encore? Assuming it is...

Are you burning from Encore? Many of us build to an image or folder and burn with something like ImgBurn.

You may be having an issue with the layer break. As a test, if you are getting the error on the build/burn, I would build to a folder without a layer break, and see if that works. You could then consider using ImgBurn and let it set the layer break.
