Can't Create folder from Import Window on Mac or PC

Seems like quite the oversight.. as the title says, it's not possible to create a new folder when starting a new project. I have to go to windows explorer or finder and create the subfolder for the project and then navigate to it in the import window.

Feature seems a little rushed guys..

Yeah, it's really dumb. You essentially have to do the same thing twice. Another example of an app trying to create solutions for problems that don't exist and thereby creating problems.

I think Adobe saw Blackmagic's interface and was like "that looks slick! let's do that!" without much though to functionality. I love so many of premiere's new features, but their import and export windows are lateral moves at best from what was in earlier versions. Everything's just extra steps now for some dumb reason.

Ignore it. That new import "page" just replaced a ton of options not hardly ever used for the new project start w/import screen ... one set of options replaced another. It may look like you need to use it, but you don't.

Type a project name, select a location ... make sure nothing is selected in the middle panel, and nothing blue (selected) over on the right.

Then click the Create button lower right, your project opens as it used to.

Now use the Project panel or Media Browser panel to build your projects ... like you always have.

I guess you can do it through clicking "project location"
But, we can't sort the footage via anything but name. Not file type or anything.

Feature needs some fleshing out
