Can't EXPORT! "Rendering Required Audio Files"

I have a 1 minute video project. When I go to export it, it says "Rendering Required Audio Files" at 0%. I waited about 10 minutes and it was still at 0%

I have the original audio file and also an mp3 song for background music on this short and simple project. I tried converting it to a song to a WAV file but that didn't make a difference. Also my C and D drive are not close to being full, if that makes any difference.

I tried exporting the project without the music audio in it and it said the same thing. I then tried to export the project with out the original audio and then another time with no audio and the "Rendering Required Audio Files" still showed up and wouldn't export.

Any tips would be greatly appreciated!

Ryan

I didn't have to clear the media cache.

All I had to do was to "copy & paste project into new project".

1 hour podcast, 32bit float audio files, same issue. I MAY have a potential work around similar to issues discussed. I tried everything to no avail, until finally, 9 out of the 10 audio files I have were recorded at 96khz, but my sequence was at 48khz as per usual (this video is first time I have ever had this happen), I changed sequence setting to match 96khz, went to export, and audio never needed to render, so I got my file.

That was a test file and only about 30 seconds of the entire clip. I am now rendering my entire timeline and going to attempt a final export. Will check back later and update after my 5 hours of export ....

Any update? Still suffering with exporting through ME..

Yes, so sorry,  Friday was an absolute nightmare for me.

Okay so I was in fact able to export my entire 60 minute sequence. However... it took about 4 hours longer (can't say that this is from the glitch, I think this time shift has more to do with my extensive use of video effects) -- usually this 60 minute sequence takes me about 45 minutes.

How did I get it to export?

So this glitch MAY in fact be due to a mismatch in sequence audio settings, to the recorded audio settings. I'll restate that I recorded 9 audio files in 32 bit float, at 96khz. - my sequence wanted to be in 48khz which is the default for Adobe (at least for me) and this has ALWAYS ever worked for me without any issues (so I do believe this is a major *MAJOR - this is not a slight issue - on Adobe's end and they need to fix it. Everyone needs to create a ticket with Adobe and let them know so they can patch this ASAP) anyways, I had to go into my sequence settings and change my audio settings from 48khz to 96khz. Then, during my export, there was no need to "render audio files" which is odd I've never not had that screen come up but it did not,  and it went directly to the export. Took a long time, again not sure it's due to that issue,  but the files exported were as they should have can no issues.

If you are having this issue, I implore you to adjust your sequence audio settings to the *highest valued audio file.  If you have multiple audio files with different recording qualities, choose the highest one. Not sure that will still work but its my biggest hunch as of now.

I'm going to test this hypothesis a bit more this week,  and I'll also test the theory that the entire issue is just an image related issue,  in that it still renders audio without showing us what it's doing.

Still dealing with this often. Very annoying to send to ME and wait way longer than normal. Any fix incoming or official word from Adobe? Never had any issues for years until recently. None of my gear changed. What gives?

Adobe either changed the way of rendering or made a separate indication of
audio rendering that comes first, because this issue never came up before.
The easiest fix for this would be combining the audio and video rendering
processes into one progress bar and the users would have never pay
attention to it. But Adobe keeps silent adding useless features to their
software. Tough luck. And there is Blackmagic with several pages list of
updates and fixes for davinchi...

Solved:

I had the same issue. The best way I found was to go to sequence>render audio.

It will take some time but render all your audio files. Now just export and it will happen. If it's not happening even after that, send it to media encoder and it shall do the task.

Didn't work for me. Hangs in that window too, can't even see elapsed time.

Our co-worker is just dealing with this. And it's a full wedding edit, so troubleshooting it is hard as the amount of different audio devices/cameras with different audio bit rates makes it VERY difficult to match them to a sequence settings.

This is just ONE MORE to a HUGE list of Premiere issues that is getting us so fed up with Premiere. All other things didn't help to solve it.

Since this problem ended up being pretty harmless, in the meantime I occured more serious one. Glitches and frame mixing in some parts of the material in playback (after export also) which are not visible in source footage or older versions of premiere. It is compltely random, not depending on type of material or some exact effect or spot in the timeline. I thought it was my gpu since it was old 4gb radeon gpu, but I upgraded to rtx 3060ti (studio drivers) and exact same problem still occurs. Also tried newer version of pp23, still nothing. After scrolling through that spot of the glitch few times it changes place or sometimes it dissapears. I read that some people had similar problems in 21 and 22 and they just had to wait for adobe newer updates or beta versions. That doesn't even sound real hah?

Always a good idea to start a new thread with a new problem.  Don't have time to review the entire thread but are you sure all your clips have the same framerate as your sequence.  Certainly sounds like if they don't that could be the source of the problem.   Dealing with major premiere issues right now, but post back if that is true and I can point you towards some things to try...

Yeah I will if I don't find solution soon. Yeah my framerates are sometimes mixed, because sequence is 25fps and most of the material is same, but sometimes client don't have footage they need so they sent few 30 or 60fps videos. Naturally it glitches a little at playback but client says that doesn't bother him. Do you think that could be reason for more serious glitches and frame mixing I'm experiencing? (its not always happening on wrong fps footage, sometimes it messes with normal 25fps parts) Also I worked in 2019 for a long time with same client and never experienced such a thing.

Just empty the media cache in premiere and restart your mac/computer. That's all you got to do

I've just run into this issue with an H.264 export of a bunch of clips. Have exported many different versions from the same sequence with no issues but got the "Rendering Required Audio Files" unmoving prompt when trying to export.

I didn't try to mess with any of the original files but instead tried changing the export format to any other preset and then back to H.264, followed by changing the Preset from 'Match Sequence Settings' to High Quality 1080p HD' while changing no other settings and it exported just fine!!

Might not work for everyone but seemed to do the job for me. Not sure what caused it but happy it's out of the way now. Best of luck

This tutorial even helped, I was able to export the video... But when I mix it with other elements from a previous project, the error continues and prevents me from exporting.

Guys, follow the instructions in this video.

I created a new sequence with the timeline in the respective video settings and re-exported the video.
So, with the video exported, I sent it to the timeline of my project that I was working on and I was able to export the project with the other elements without any problems.

I FOUND A FIX!!!!!!! Send it to Adobe Media Encoder. The encoder took a while to load up but as soon as I pressed render, it worked!

Make sure the audio bitrate in your sequence settings match the audio files in the sequence.

This is a useless piece of advice. You normally do not have ideal audios or tiime to "make sure" or convert anything to different formats. You get the files and you get some short amount of time to make a selling video.

converting audio is VERY fast.   Asking your clients to provide material that meets professional standards may not be easy, and may not even be possible.  There are other editing solutions that may be more suited to your needs but they all have their own limitations.    Happy to suggest some alternatives if you want...
