Can't hear audio in Timeline when imported as XML

I just imported a project from FCP7 as an XML. Everything is good except the audio- I can't hear it when playing from the timeline. If I double click the clip I can hear the audio fine. The mute is not on in the timeline. Anyone have any ideas??

Hit the icon highlighted in blue in the image below to monitor all channels. Be aware this is inside one of my multicam sequences.

This is how my master sequence is set up.

If you right click on your Master sequence and choose modify audio channels it should look like this:

All of my tracks here in my master sequence are ported to stereo which is how most people will finish their projects unless you will have it mixed by a professional sound mixer into 5.1 stereo.

Turning on the Monitor All Channels also helped, but now that the sound is audible I can hear that it is playing at a faster speed and is very glitchy. Also my Modify Clip settings are greyed out for the top three boxes: Preset, Clip channel format, & # of audio clips. Below is a screen shot. I think importing an xml w/ audio from FCP7 is just a non-compatible process.

Do you have audio previews in your timeline?

Are there nested sequences?

Are there multicam sequences?

Screenshots, screenshots, screenshots

No nested sequences or multicam. Below is a screenshot from my timeline. You can see the audio waveforms are there, but no sound from timeline.

Pull up the audio mixer and see how the audio tracks are mapped. If this is your master sequence, the very right dialogue that reads 4(see pic below) should represent how many tracks of audio are in your sequence. Where you see 1+2 are the audio channels in your sequence, A1 A2 A3 etc. In you screen shot above I see 6 channels(could be more, I can't see below that) so you should have the very right read 6 and all of those ported to 1+2 if it is your master sequence.

Otherwise check your sound settings in the audio hardware dialogue in preferences(see pic below)
