Can't hear audio on playback but settings are correct?

I'm having trouble hearing the Audio playback in Premiere Pro. I've checked the audio hardware settings and nothing is out of place. I'm using the correct output and other software works well with the same devices (I have tested several audio devices). I've tried using the MME and ASIO. Also, no audio track is muted and I've tried with different audio sources such as mp3s and audio from different clips. I've reinstalled Premiere and tested different versions to no success.

Finally, I've checked the sound mixer from my OS (windows 10) and Premiere Pro is not muted.

I can clearly see the audio signal working in playback as Premiere's audio signal thingies are moving (Audio waveforms) but the signal is NOT showing in Window's audio mixer.

Does anybody have ideas to what could be causing this problem? I'm out of ideas!

Thank you.

Ok! I've found the solution!

Newtek NDI Tools are interfering with Premiere Pro.

Uninstall the Tools with Windows and Premiere will work fine again.

Thanks for the support, hope they work together with Newtek to bring a long term solution to this problem! Many in Streaming use their tools and it is becoming common.

Best regards,

Natzo.

Thank you, I just had this exact problem this morning. I installed NDI tools last night and then had no audio in Premiere this morning. It had me throughout confused! Glad I found this post.

In your hardware settings try setting input to 'none'

Thank you for the response.

Sadly, that did not work. Also tried setting other inputs, in case there was a conflict, but it didn't solve the issue.
