Question

can't import MP4 file and JPG files

I'm using Premiere Pro 2020 and when I go into the media browser, I'm not able to find the files that I need, which are Mp4 and JPG files.  I'm using the files I've downloaded from an Adobe tutorial, so I can't figure out why Premiere Pro won't let me import them.  I've tried just dragging them in from the file explorer.  Also, when I click the funnel icon to change the files types displayed, Mp4 and JPG aren't even options.  Does anyone know what might be causing this?

In the Media Browser, click on the funnel icon (File types diaplayed) should provide you with a list of formats to sort by. By default, it shoul dbe set to very top "All Supported files". This should allow you to see all file types supported by Premiere Pro within th eMedia Browser.

If you you select MPEG Movie, this will display all file types that are MPEG (which includes your mp4 files). If you set to JPEG File, then it should only display JPEG files in the Media Browser.

Hope that helps.

Update: it works if I go into the file menu up top and import that way.  I don't know why that's the only way it'll import, but whatever works XD
