Can't Preview Font Changes with Text tool in CC 2020 -Bug?

Problem/Bug:

Using text tool, the font can't not be previewed using the scroll methoded as outline in the form below and shown in the video.

System:

Adobe CC 2020 V 14.0.1 build 71, enterprise.

Imac Catalina 10.15.3 

Problem:

Mousing over and scrolling doesn't not update preview on the font.  The fonts do scroll but the text does not change.  Doesn't make a difference if using the "essential graphics pannel or from the effects control pannel. No font change previews.
