Can't Remove Timer

So I'm working on putting together this 2hr video and I wanted to have a timer, got one added, but now I can't remove it at all. I'm verrrry new to Premiere Pro so I've continued to learn and find new things. But this timer just somehow doesn't exist for some reason but is always in the video. I would like to have a timer, but it would fit better if I could edit it to be the right font.

    Remove effect which is called Timecode from the Effect Controls Panel.
