Question

can't select "replace with after effects composition"

I watched many tutorials and they all tell me to right click on the clip and select "replace with after effects composition" in Premier pro cc 17 which would open the selected clip into after effects so I can edit effects on the desired clip. When I right click it I can't select that option because its grayed out. Can someone help me out? "Adobe Dynamic Link" is also grayed out in drop down window.

Third-party antivirus and firewalls have been known to interfere with the communication process between programs.  Be sure you're not using any.

Premiere and AE need to be of the same version.

If they are you might want to reinstall.
