Can you capture video from USB camera on Prmiere Pro 2021?

I've been trying to find a way to record video specifically from Premiere Pro 2021 using CAM LINK 4K (elgato) that is a HDMI to USB video-capture interface.

I have used OBS and works fine, I wonder if there is a way to capture directly from Premiere using CAPTURE (F5) feature.

Any suggestions for video recording via USB on premiere?

Premiere Pro does not work with the generic webcams. The webacm would need specific drivers in order to work with Premiere Pro.

"Premiere Pro does not work with the generic webcams". Its surprising that this no longer exists. I used to be able to capture from a webcam back when I was using Premier 6.0 in the early 2000s.
