Cannot delete Words in the transcription in Premiere Pro 2024

At the beginning I was able to delete sections of text from the transcript, everything was fine. Then after 3 videos it stopped working. I then restarted the program, deleted all saved data and settings when restarting by holding the ALT key and then it worked again.
Now I've been trying for 2 hours, restarting the computer, moving the videos to other folders and of course deleting the presets. Nothing to do. I can only insert text, but not delete anything.
Very frustrating.
