Cannot drag from File Explorer to Premiere Pro project window

I am unable to drag and drop files into the project window of premiere pro. This has happened before, but I have no idea if things fixed itself or if there was a solution. I have my project window docked, not floating. I have cleared my preferences by holding alt while opening the application. Also, I have cleared my cache. Is there anything else I can do?

Could you share your OS and OS version? Please also let us know which version of Premiere Pro you're currently using. This will help us suggest appropriate troubleshooting steps.

Thanks,

Ishan

I was running Premiere Pro as a administrator on my windows computer. That is the reason why I couldn't drag and drop.

While drag and drop is probably the easiest way to import media into a Premeire Pro project, it is not the most reliable.

Try using the Media Browser.

Import with the Media Broswer

Hi AblazeApax,

We can get it checked.

Is it happening only with Premiere Pro? Can you try any other app?

Let us know, we're here to help.

Thanks,

I have no problem dragging images from my file explorer into Photoshop and Illustrator, but Lightroom has also given issues with dragging and dropping.
