Cannot edit a portion of text in PPro 23.4

Today my PPro is updated to 23.4 and I cannot edit a portion of the text box anymore.

i.e. I could select a word in a sentence (or part of a paragraph) and make it bold or change its colour, but since the upgrade now it affects the to whole content of text box and I cannot find any way to edit the selected part.

Is it a bug or a new chang adobe is making?

Looking forward to hear from Adobe or the comunity ASAP as I use this function all the time
