Question

Cannot import MP4 files. Changed to MPG, now getting "Error decompressing audio and video files"

Just as the title really.

I have some drone footage I wanted to add to Premiere. It is in MP4 format and imports to After Effects just fine.

I changed the file name to "mpg" now the error message reads - "Error decompressing audio and video files"

Any suggestions, please?

Hi alexc22818962,

Sorry to hear about this. We would need more info to diagnose the issue properly. Please let us know the version of Premiere Pro, the OS that you are using, and the media specifications as suggested by Ann. Also, what is the source of these mp4 files (make and model of the drone)? Let us know, we're here to help.

Thanks,

Sumeet
