Cannot open 2015.3 project files after 2017 update + video missing

Upgraded to Premiere Pro 2017 from 2015.3 - and now I cannot open from my prproj files directly - even when I select Open With and try to make Premiee Pro 2017 the default (and select Always Use it), it does NOT use it or keep the selection

If I open the 2017 app first, I can open the files - and ALL of my video is missing.

    Hi JVCarol,

    Do you still have 2015.3 installed?

    If I open the 2017 app first, I can open the files - and ALL of my video is missing.

    Please clean the media cache (keeping Premiere Pro closed) and relaunch your project.
