Cannot right click to unable subtitle

I used to amend my subtitle track by enable and disable some of the block, to save for further amendment in the future. But I just find that the right click ability is gone, and now I can only delete unused block rather than disabling it. Is it a bug or premiere pro dosen’t support it anymore? It is a very useful function and I want it back!

ok, I can do it with Shift+command+E now to disable or enable the subtitle clip, but still no right click option for it….

After posting, I discovered that once upon a time, I did know about Shift+E. See this 2025 bug report:

Note that @RobertKjettrup was also asking why there was no context menu/right-click option.

The acknowledge bug he was reporting was that disabled captions are excluded from burnins, but included in SRT exports.

I confirmed this is still the case in current release 26.5.2 and Beta 27.1.0.27.

You should be able to select the subtitle/s and then go to Clip > Enable to disable the selected subtitle/s. I can use the keyboard shortcut Cmd+Shift+E for this on Mac.

I did not know that! On Windows, the assigned default is Shift+E. It is an application level command for Clip → Enable, but it appears to require that the Timeline is in focus and one (or more!) captions/clips are selected. And it is a toggle so, enable/disable.

I do not see a difference in any right-click option in PR 25.6.6.
