Cannot use Effect's , project disappears?

I have experienced the following problem now on 2 different PC's so far. Premiere Pro (2018) works perfectly until I click on the effects tab, at which point the ENTIRE project disappears, only leaving the tabs at the very top and a grey background, and I have to reopen the project. This seems to only happen at certain times, as the effects were working mere days ago, but now I cannot use any without the project vanishing? Anyone help please?

Go up to Window/Workspaces and Reset Saved layout a couple of times.
