Canon XH-A1 causes crash during capture

Hi people...

When I connect my Canon XH-A1 to my MacBook, and try to capture Premier crashes...

"Sorry, a serious error has occurred that requires Adobe Premiere Pro to shut down. We will attempt to save your current project."

I've changed as many settings as I can, I've tried operating the camera manually rather than from within Premier... As soon as the first frame shows on screen, it crashes. Anyone got any ideas please?

Matt

Are you sure you have enough disk space on your computer to capture the video?

Should have mentioned, I'm using CS6.

Hi Ann...

Yes, done all that... It captures just fine in iMovie. I'm using Premier Pro version CS6 6.0.5. It's sending commands to the camera okay, it's just the very first frame imported that causes the crash. Interestingly, Black Magic Design's DaVinci Resolve doesn't even recognise that the camera is connected....?!

And yes, there's plenty of HDD space.... 133gb, which should be sufficient for a 7 second clip at 1080i 60!

Thanks,

M
